At only 19 years of age, Keith has experienced a lot of situations that have molded him into the man he is today. By the grace of the one and only Lord Jesus Christ he is able to share his gift of incorporating the gospel into rhyme form. He was blessed to be raised by two loving parents that exposed him to Jesus Christ at an early age. Although understanding the gospel didn't come till much later in his life. As he grew older, his motives slowly began to drift from God's will to what the world had to offer. Drugs and alcohol were exposed to him in middle school. Come high school the routine was habitual. Escape reality. Smoke, drink, snort, and not think about what tomorrow holds. He was no stranger to the party scene where he found his identity. Having the holy spirit living within him, he always felt the conviction. But he was not ready to give it up. God saved him from death numerous times. You would think overdosing at the age of 16 would open your eyes. It didn't. Keith was hospitalized his junior year of high school for days due to the heavy use of drugs. When you experience everything being taken from you, and the uttermost feeling of being helpless, you seek change. Keith went to counseling by a Pastor at his parents church when something really hit him. The pastor expressed to him that the life your living isn't what God has planned to you. He really took that to heart. After being medicated and recovering back to his normal state of mind, Keith slipped back into his own ways. It all caught up to him. One of his music partners at the time robbed him at gunpoint and threatened his life. As Keith peeled away in the car all he could hear were gunshots. God clearly had his hand over him at the time. Rock bottom wouldn't even describe the position he was in. He was below it. After being heavily intoxicated in the summer going into his senior year, he called Nate Guagenti who recently made the transition to follow Christ after going through similar struggles. Keith instantly felt the emptiness of temporary happiness being lifted off his shoulder as he joined Xenos College Ministry in Columbus Ohio. The love of Christ and grace that was revealed to him was something he yearned for a long time. Keith rededicated his life to Christ and has made a 180 degree turn in his life ever since. He has been sober for 3 years and has realized sometimes you have to meet the end of yourself for you to seek change. Keith is a sophmore in college studying Public Safety Management where he lives in a Xenos ministry house around Ohio State's campus. He also volunteers at Harambee Christian Middle School. And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." 2 Cor 12:9. God never forsakes his children. He is always there to lift us up out of any hardship we face. I am a living testimony of God's grace and his captivating love. The free gift he offers us is so powerful and astonishing I have no other route in life then to glorify him.
