1983 I went to boot camp at Paris Island, SC. I took infantry training at Camp Pendleton, CA, as part of the 1st Marine Division. I was selected for the Marine Security Force in 1984, served in Nairobi and Mombasa, Africa. Injured and sent to Philippines to recover. Earned Good Conduct award, Sea Service, Written Navy Commendation Award, Sharp Shooter Rifle and Expert Pistol badge.
