About this user

Christel Peters was born on September 6 in a small village in Holland in 1980.
When she was sixteen she overcame her shyness and entered a singing competition.
That was the beginning.

She started taking vocal lessons and many talentshows followed. More than once she won first price.

In 2001 she auditioned for the vocal education AVLM. She got in and graduated 2 years later.
She learned a lot from her teachers.(Who were for instance: Barry Stevens, Lisa Boray, Herman van Doorn, Dennis van Galen)

In 2002 her cooperation with Harry Emmery began (the most successful contrabass player in Holland). First they performed together. Early 2004 they started writing songs together.
At this point they wrote up to 30 songs and there are many in the making. Some of those songs already came out on CD.

Christel made 2 albums with The Van Druten Brothers in 2003 and 2004 from which the single "A part of me" written by Emmery and Peters came out in 2004.

In 2005 she performed with a jazz combo for all the European ministers in The Hague.

Early 2006 Christel was involved in a CD project of Simply Bass. The album is called Bassplayer's Songbook and she sings on 5 tracks.

Through the past years she worked with some of the best musicians here in Holland like Ton op 't Hof, Hans Jansen, John Engels, Rob van Bavel, Rob agerbeek, Rob van den Broeck, Michael Varenkamp, Eddie C and naturally Harry Emmery.

She was also part of The Great Female Voices, a theatre program which toured through all of Holland the last 2 seasons.

At the moment Christel is performing in a lot of different formations such as her own pop band, with jazz combo's, as a duo with Harry Emmery(piano) and in different cover bands and dinner shows.

January 2007 she was asked to sing the title track ("Fly me to the moon") for a new international movie with Patrick Swayze. She recently went to Los Angeles and worked with some of the best people in the film and music industry. Joshua Sinclair is the director of the film "Jump!", Kevin Kaska wrote all of the music for it. Lilly Berger is the executive producer. The worldpremière will be at april 16 2008 in Linz, Austria!

Next to her biggest passion, singing, Christel loves show, acting and dancing.
