My name is Christen Sawyer and I'm a singer/songwriter from Sugar Land, Texas! I'm a sophomore at Texas A&M University this year... doing music AND school at the same time! I love everything about music and listen to almost every genre of it, but country really has a special place in my heart. I recorded my first CD "Christen Sawyer - The Sampler" in Nashville last summer and the first single "Crazy" is set to be released to Texas radio in January 2009! All three songs are available now on iTunes, and CD copies will be sold on my website and myspace sometime this January. Yall check it out!!

About Me:
Music is my one true love! I especially adore singing and have been taking vocal lessons & performing locally for about ten years now. I started writing songs when I was in high school--it's such a great way to show what you're feeling! From "The Sampler" only "Crazy" was written by me.. The other two were written by brilliant artists and I fell in love with them right away! I hope to write or cowrite every song on my next CD. I taught myself guitar this past year and it's made songwriting so much more fun! I adore playing guitar. I play at least 3 hours a day and can't wait to start playing acoustic shows around Texas! I took piano for about four years and have recently started picking that instrument back up as well... Let's just say it's been a little "Crazy" around here ;-) !!
