I edited this short video for Red Carpet Media, and it was submitted as part of a competition for Red Square Vodka. A nice little diversion despite my own badly recorded VO!

Take Ten was the quarterly training video for the Devon & Cornwall Police Force which I produced and co-presented for a number of editions between 1998 and 2001. Featured items would cover the skills offered by specialist units such as Special Branch or the Diving Unit as well as, with this clip, providing training on policing powers and procedures. An "In Brief" feature also kept officers up to date with current initiatives and Force news. Each edition was accompanied by a factsheet and pages on the Force Intranet.

This small production grew out of a Final Cut User Group meeting where we were demonstrating the new Panasonic HVX200 camera and P2 media. What better way to get to know the camera than to take to the streets and shoot some footage? So that's exactly what we did and the finished production was included on the MacVideo DVD for May 2006, including HD footage comparisons with the Sony Z1 and the Panny. This is also a good example of my camera work skills!

Another clip from my 1997 documentary about the Laurel and Hardy appreciation society - the Sons of the Desert. Ahead of his worldwide Laurel and Hardy Convention in 1998, John Ullah talked to Chris Coffey about the honour, before relating the oft-told story of how he acquired a pair of Stan Laurel's socks.

A real rarity! This is the first video I ever made whilst I was a second year student at Bristol University. Slightly re-edited for You Tube to avoid any embarrassing copyright issues with music, this also features my fellow student Matt Lucas (now of Shooting Stars and Little Britain fame) in front of the camera. It tries to be slightly more worthy than it should really be as we tried to be real "film makers" with an SVHS camera!

This full-length documentary followed a group of Chester school kids to Sens as part of their French Exchange... In the spirit of international relations, some had the time of their lives, others worried about having to eat horses and a few just felt plain homesick... The finished programme was nominated for an RTS student award.
