I use the d700 and sb900 for weddings also, and my settings are pretty much

the same as yours. However i am surprised you use matrix metering with the white dress

issue, dont you get a lot of over exposed dresses.

also i know its a personal thing and there is no right or wrong way for everything...

the crappy plastic mount of the sb900

You are mistaken or do not know how minimum focus measurments are calculated .The 12inch distance is from the focal shutter at the back of the

camera. Wich works out to be a couple of inches from the front of the lens

@re4gamez Yes it is. use the method I just posted. go to channels,(next to layers) pick red, green. or blue.(one with most contrast.. Make copy.. then go to image-- apply image-select overlay or multiply mode.

Why on earth would you do it this way when you had a good contrast image in the first place. Surely the obvious way would be to use channels (probably the blue one).
