Chris Frangou

Welcome to the Official YouTube Channel of Australian bass player, composer and musical educator Chris Frangou.

Chris is known for navigating a wide range of genres and textures on the electric bass touching on and being heavily influenced by music as far spread as jazz, funk, rock, R&B, traditional african and european music, blues, indian classical, balinese gamelan and progressive metal.

He is currently performing with his projects Chris Frangou and the Sound Theory Ensemble and the Chris Frangou Trio. He is also known for his work with Melbourne band John Smith Quintet.
