from the quick look the wood appears to be ipe also called amapa prieta or surinam greenheart. from south america and the caribbean. if it is the dust from it called lapachol powder is realy nasty stuff. also the pores of ipe often show as yellow dots or lines. which will turn deep red in an alka...
