Yes, I was taught this song @ school in Queensland in the early 1970's also. The music teacher split the class up. One group sang the song and the other sang the chorus (Waltzing Matilda my darling, etc, etc).

As a kid in the 70's, I used to get this record out of mums collection and play it over and over. Playing it now brings back some great memories of my childhood.
