The Art Lutherie guitars are the descendants of Norman Guitars. The Normans have bolt on necks, through the back of the body and are really easy to shim. I understand the frets being dry but the body almost makes you think its an Alberta guitar. We have no humidity here.

As always nice job. You dont have to remove any of the pickups, instead install an on-on swicth before the 1/4 jack so that you can switch from the piezo alone or the original setup. You could also install an on-on-on switch and have any number of combinations.

Davey, You could take a dremel with a cutoof wheel, and cut the back out of the box where the connectors are and then use the hard wire plug and reinstall the old box and it looks original from the outside.
