Hello and thanks to all on our mailing list for your feedback, 2011 is shaping up good for PERENNIALS there will be a New Album this year and by all accounts the sound has evolved beyond the HMA winning Aliensphere. A new lineup and scorching new material has taken the band to yet another new level. PERENNIALS were formed in late 2000 by guitarist-songwriter Christopher T Wilson, bassist Frank Segedi from "Crimson Jimson" and original "Under Popularity" drummer Preston Boyd were soon added to pound out ideas. Monica Wilson was added for percussion, vocals and eye candy. PERENNIALS first show was at Gage Park Festival in late July of 2001, complete with Nu-music fallout sound and 'audio experimentation'. Ahead of their time, may-be not, creating timeless music maybe, so they were sure to burn fast and bright; trashed the 'Village', made friends at 'ARTOPIA' and went number 1 at CFMU College Radio with their demo; recording their own songs in various situations with experienced producers Mark Howard (Neil Young) until building there own studio upon implosion; eventually breaking up in 2003 opening the door for Monica on drums and Edmond Harty on bass against the burgeoning musical waste-field post millenium. In late 2005 after spending 2 years as the "Invalids" PERENNIALS re-emerged as an rock-ambient four piece adding 'head phone over tone' guitarist Daniel Winterman which is augmented by Alchemy Blues the new semi-retro 2010 release remastered to capture all its original brilliance the band is finally at at place where the albums sound awesome, we really get off on them. After the 2007 break up Chris put the "band" thing on hiatus but continued writing and producing re-emerging with a knew line up including Jeff Korstanje on bass and Barry Lewis on Drums and a new album entitled Aliensphere in 2009 capturing the HMA rock recording of the year.
