Good song but listen to the duet from SBS's Rockwiz by Dom Mariani & Abbe May, it's better then CCR's, and that's no mean feat!

I saw the La De Das live at NSW Uni in 1972, it was a 30 minute lunchtime concert and it cost me just $0.40!

I can only remember 3 members up on stage then: Borich, Key (bass presumably) & Barber.

This duet would have been great if the talented Kevin Borich had been accompanied by a classy singer such as Vikka Bull.

Unfortunately for Kevin, this woman was in a surly mood all night on this Rockwiz episode. When it came to the duet she ruined it - can't sing, can't play.

Tim Rogers = Gabriel Byrne (Millers Crossing) ?

Neil Young said this song put him into the middle of the road which was a place he didn't want to be. However he would be pleased with this rendition, as would his bank account.

An unlikely but inspired pairing: the lovely talented Clare plus the man who helped bring us the Saints' punk-rock classic "(I'm) Stranded".

Possibly Rockwiz's best duet.

BTW this was the first time I heard this song but I heard the original on the remake of "Straw Dogs". It holds up to the orig...

The duets go well well they pick Jagger/Richards compositions or covers.

After 40 odd years they still kick ass!!

The backwash is the water going back to sea, just like a rip (or a riptide for you Americans). That's why the first wave of a set is usually the best to catch as far as avoiding backwash is concerned.

Good idea to have just one riff per band (although Ozzy & EC slipped in twice).

It's interesting that you picked his 2nd solo from "Knockin On Heaven's Door". I like both solos but prefer the more restrained and gentle 1st solo.

Slash's 2 solos are reminscent of Dave Gilmour's style on "Comfortably Numb" going from a soft restrained solo to a vicious solo.
