I'm not really sure where this cam from. I've been feeling a little lost I guess - we all want to be found, don't we? Anyways, I just basically came up with all these mini-stories/dramas dealing with different things. It's prettty simplistic, but I went with more of an emotinal impact than a showy colorful theme. I guess the overall theme is LOSS. Hope you get something out of it.
Drama #1 - Movie: "Quest for Camelot" Theme: Loss of a parent. This one is pretty self explanitory. Kayley's father life is lost saving the king's. Feeling lost and scared the little girl grieves.
Drama #2 - Movies: "The Road to El Dorado" & "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" Theme: Break Ups. So, Tulio and Phoebus have broken up. They each have lost their lover and partner. Bitterness resides.
Drama #3 - Movies: "The Swan Princess" & "Cinderella" Theme: Domestic Abuse. The young & beautiful Odette has been abused by her jealous stepmother, Lady Tremaine, for years. Od has never fought back or stood up to the wicked woman. Finally, one day Odette can no longer outrun or hide from Lady T. The villianess deals a fatal blow - Odette's weak and beaten body crumbles to the ground, where she lays for hours. Derek, the sweet girl's boyfriend, finally finds her laying in the garden - dying. Th cruel stepmother gazes at the sight of the lovers being forever parted with great pleasure. Derek is heartbroken and terrified - if only Od had told him about her problem earlier. The blonde beauty dies in his arms.
Drama #4 Movies: "Pocahontas" & "The Little Mermaid" Theme: Lesbianism/Racism. I took on two very touchy subjects in this one. Two princesses, Ariel & Pocahontas fall in love. Ariel is caucasian, Pocahontas - Native American. Some of Ariel's people are ignorant and full of hate. They do not accept Pocahontas as a human being. They see her as a savage. Governor Radcliff shoots the young woman. Ariel is shocked and tries to fight back to protect her lover, but the villian has an army. Ariel feels helpless and doesn't know what to do. Pocahontas is strong and brave through the whole tragety. With her dying breath she tells Ariel to forgive those who hurt them and to not be afraid. True love never dies. Then Poca passes away.
Drama #5 - Movie: "The Prince of Egypt" Theme: Adoption/Slavery. The Egyptian prince, Moses, has just discovered he is not really royalty. He was adopted. He is not even Egyptian, but rather a Hebrew slave's child. His whole life has been a lie. Moses tries to run away, but big brother, Ramses attempts to stop him - he doesn't understand what's going on. Moses explains, "You and mother....'You found me.'" Ramses is confused. He loves his brother...no matter where he came from. Alas, Moses decides to leave anyways. He flees, breaking Ramses heart, but he feels he cannot live a lie any longer.
