I do not understand why people insist that Franco was not much of a vocalist. There was none better and he knew where his voice suited best and it's such a beautiful voice you just cannot ignore. What voice would have made this song better that the perfection it is. Tabu Ley?

I think every musician who ever managed to share a stage/studio with Franco made their best music at that moment that includes Tabu Ley as well. It seems almost a mistake they ever sang with him cause they never matched the music they made with him either on their own or with any other musician. ...

I hear you, but I have always managed to distinguish Thierry and Luambos playing mainly due to the fact Franco's sounds unrestricted and has more deviations, I don't know how to explain it. Good examples would be the song Tutti and Bomba Bomba Mabe, but thanks for that insight and quick response.

The signs were already there for the other musicaians that something completely out of this world had descended on the music scene. It must have been frightening to listen to a sixteen year old with such talent and composure.
