I'm an "Old Gringo" and a cedula-carrying American who first arrived in Panama in 1987 on a Pan Am jet with news crews and a couple of military guys. How times have changed!

I've recently been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder after being incorrectly treated for Severe Depression - If you are Bipolar things like Prestiq and Lexipro will send you into a manic orbit.

A person I love and care about very much was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 1993, but she refused to take her Lithium medication and that resulted in a very violent and "rocky" ride, to say the least. After that experience I DO WHAT THE DOCTORS TELL ME TO DO. I take my Lithium and my Seroquil XR. I'm not sure what will happen with the medication, but I've been at the other end of what happens when you don't. It's not fun!

I guess I can count myself as lucky as I met some women at a NAMI meeting - one who had Bipolar Disorder and tried to burn the neighbor's car and other things. The worst I saw her do to other people is when she threw a coke bottle at a school bus. Not too smart, but not trying to burn your neighbor's car either.

The photo is of a special little kitty, Midnight. He went missing on November 2, 1999 in El Paso, Texas. We hope that he had a home and just moved on, but we didn't know for sure. It broke out hearts when he didn't show-up again. It still hurts 11 years later.

I miss the following with all my heart: Snow, Lucky, Sweetie Pie, Lucy, Stubby, Klondike, Tony, Tux Jr., Stubby Jr.

I hope to see you very, very soon Kitten, Mr. Tux, Tiger Man, Milktoast, Pretty Boy.
