The Children's Guild (www.childrensguild.org) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1953 for young people with emotional, behavioral and mental challenges. Located in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel and Prince George's Counties, The Children's Guild operates three Level V day schools, three group living residences, treatment foster care, a mental health center and other special-needs services. The Children's Guild programs are based on an organizational philosophy called Transformation Education, which emphasizes unique educational programs, stimulating environments and integrated approaches to build successful lives.
The Upside Down Organization (www.upsidedownorganization.org), formerly The Institute for Transformation Education, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and advocacy for Transformation Education, an organizational philosophy and operating system for child-serving organizations. UDO offers professional development experiences, mentoring services, learning tools and organizational branding that help improve the skills of all people who educate, parent, guide and care for young people.
