Math! The question is do we even care?
We'd ignore it but the material shows up everywhere.
Takin' bio, physics, chem, even Econ I see
A second derivative staring back up at me.
So I sign up for the class, it's a major requirement
Knowing I'll be stuck with this math till retirement
Sacrificing twenty of my hours a week
This would be a whole lot easier if I were a geek!

But! Who'd want to know that much math anyway
I'm just glad I AP-tested outta 1A
Riemann sums and derivatives and the Hospital Rule
(OK, I know it's L'Hopital, don't you mess with me, fool!)
Guess I'm a little more of a nerd than I thought
But I'm already forgetting everything I was taught.
Well at least it's only one semester I have to cope
And I'll never again have to take a math class, I hope.

You spend 8 hours techniques, and 9 hours apps,
13 more on series if your mind doesn't snap
10 hours more on differential EQs
That's 40 hours to regret the course that you choose.

I can't believe I'm doing this, we're studying still,
In the hope that we can pass this by sheer power of will.
Forget As, forget Bs, I'm already down,
Just hoping I'm not out cause on the final I'll drown.
Minus e to the negative i pi is one?
And I'm stuck in here studying when I should be out having fun.
Don't want to eat dinner, got no appetite,
I think this'll be another day of Late Night.

Cause I'm reading the textbook and I don't get a word,
And I don't remember not one single thing that I heard.
In lecture, and plus my GSI is a joke
There hasn't been a single useful word that he spoke.
Well forget it, I'll go and ask the smart girl upstairs.
Maybe she can explain why the derivative's squared.
Techniques of integration, and its uses as well,
differential equations, man, this class is our hell.

It came to 10% As, 20% Bs
Another 37 left with Cs and Ds
But those 33 Fs and this pain in my head
Makes me wish that I had signed up for a DeCal instead
