Brazilian bass player, session, sideman , producer, arranger and solo artist Chico Willcox descends from 3 generations of musicians and has the jazz, fusion, funk and brazilian music as main influence. He created his own style of playing with a incomparable creativity using during his solos the ability to improve complexes chords reveling an intense musical sensitivity and his strong personality.
His clammed album New Samba Jazz, released by Autrisuoni Records, had an excellent feedback in Europe, Asia, EUA and Brazil. His new album is working in progress and is planned by mid 2009.
Recognized by his versatility, played with most famous artists from Brazil such as Bocatto, João Donato, Guilherme Arantes, Emilio Santiago and Sandy. Allover the world during jam sessions or gigs played with great musicians, such as: Nguyen Le, Francis Lacius, Dominique di Piaza, Hadrien Feraud, Stephen Scott, Gerry Brown, Decebal Badila, Wolf Kerchek, David "Fingers" Haynes, Vasty Jackson, Joey Defrancesco among others.
