The Charleston 9 Tribute Page

My mission is to make people aware of just how brave our fighters are. They risk their lives everyday to serve and protect us with little respect for what they do. These 9 guys lost their lives on June 18,2007 because they entered a burning building to save the life of someone they thought was inside.But that person had already been rescued.In the end due to the lack of communication but, their dedication they lost their lives that awful day. Why is it so important to me to make people more aware of what firefighters do? Because my brother could have been #10. Yes he's Charleston firefighter and was there that day fighting that furniture store fire. I thank GOD everyday that he's still here with us, his father,wife,nieces and nephew are to.

So the next time you see that big red truck speeding down the road and getting irritated because you have to get out of their way, say a little prayer for them that they make it out to fight one more day because the next time you see them it may be as they are carrying your loved one out.
