ABBB's and Americans are not the same breed, however Americans were used to bring the ABBB back form near extinction. Your dog is a near perfect example of the breed.

Gorgeous, Alapahas have funny issues with things, ours dont like large dark objects. Similar mannerisms as well.

Pictures 4 and 6 are the only true ABBB's, the rest are CRK mongrols.
