@naterade21 quadrajets a great is properly rebuilt and tuned. good power and fuel mileage. its not my first choice in a carb but not my last either. people only knock on them couse the dont know enough about them to say anything good.

they were so much better back then. now they sound like crap. dont get me wrong still love them but.... smh

mine burns oil to, idk if its a dodge, or 318 thing. runs great and enough power to tow another full sized truck all over but its like if fuckin eats the oil or something

6.5 is a 396, not 383. its nice but would be better with cherry bombs rather then strait pipe

im no expert or nothing and im not be sarcasistic about that. but it sounds like a carb problem. adjust the idle mixture screws, and leave the choke open. and raise the main idle a little bit. and if that aint it adjust your timing. idk just ideas
