I'm black 1/16 cherokee my 3rd great grandmother on my mother's maternal side is full cherokee .... Why must I be called African/AMERICAN if there is one of my ancestors that r direct decendent of african tribe {not count father's side 'cause I'm not sure abt. him even though he says all of his people r black].
