Great artist!!! So under rated...Johnny is one of the best live. Plays good like a southern boy should!!! Been around since 1964 on vinyl. He still comes back to the Whisky every once in awhile. Thx 4 posting

@jeffdickson4 Hey are you kidding this song brings the tears to my eyes!! And I love the women...my single mom would go see Sonny & Cher singing in various clubs in LA and Hollywood. She would come home and tell me what they were like. I was 5 or 6. And this song hits that sentimental note.....

Gotta love this original version. But never would have heard it if it were not for J. Geils band. They usta tear it up with their version. Especially on the Full House live album. But love the sax.....listen to the J.Geils version...they treat it right for a cover. thx 4 posting..

@ijulius1 They really were not a product of the Motown camp. Not from Detroit. I don't even think they ever recorded for Motown. Totally differnt sound. Motown had the Funk Bros sound. Great group and true artists.

What a group and sound they were. Beautiful!!! He gets little credit but: How many know Johnny Rivers discovered them. Hooked them up with his label Soul City, then hooked them up with Jimmy Webb and Bones Howes...Johnny deserves a lot of credit..!!! thx 4 posting

@tiranchula ...Check out what I wrote above. This is by far my favorite version. I use to hang with Los Lobos. I requested they play Crei' right at that center stage @ Olvera Street and they did. Great verison they did. I have so fond memories of this song. Buene Suerte!

Love this...52 yrs old and still remember these songs so well. Music is the love. Some of you music crtics get so hung on technical stuff. It was over 40 yrs ago for some of these recordings. Not much mixing. Straight ahead sound. Just enjoy!! Thx 4 posting.
