You would think that expressive rhymes mixed in with an almost self-destructive sense of trouble, along with a pinch of schizophrenic introspective would result in a hot mess. You could be forgiven for thinking it. But that hot mess comes in the surprisingly charming form of Angolan-born and South African raised Chelcie "Chelz" de Almeida. Having been around music his entire life, it seemed it was destined that he would blossom into a musical force to be wreckoned with. For Chelz, music is simply more than making beats or laying down a sick seemingly never-ending flow or tossing back on music videos and photoshoots. Chelz feels music down to its purest form, as a means of expression as a vehicle for emotional release. To date his biggest project was a track on DJ Green Lantern's Myspace Invasion vol. 4. His track "Stick Up" has received significant airplay and attention. With his debut album Venus De Milo slated for release in 2011, Chelz hopes to share a glimpse of his talent and his mind with an upcoming EP titled Conspiracy Theory to be released on Dec 2010 followed by Area 51 mixtape which is due early 2011.
