Working at a sawmill, it sucks but we have a good laugh while working(usually at my expense!) and it pays the bills!

I LOVE animals! My dog, Chelsea (hence the channel name) is my constant companion and best friend! I also raise laying hens on a small scale basis.I have MANY cats too, that procreate as fast as I can count them! I love being outdoors and hiking and camping with my kids and dog. I also love cycling and recently purchased a KHS Flite 300 to satisfy my need for speed! PURCHASED AT ONLYSPORTS.CA IN LISTOWEL ONTARIO!!! If you want to buy a bike there, tell them Chelpydog sent you!!! Did my first long distance ride in July 2010 of 190km. I hope to do a 3 or 4 day ride next summer that would cover a distance of between 400 and 500 km's. SORE BUTT!!!!

I have recently discovered a sublime genre of music called post rock. Some bands you may want to check out are;A Silver Mount Zion, Russian Circles, the Grails, Surface of Eceon, Red Sparrows, This Will Destroy You, Explosions in the Sky, Pg.lost, 365 Days of Static......well you get it, there are a lot of great post rock bands out there.You can also check out some great channels featuring Post Rock ; PostRockExists is a good place to start! I'll let you know when I finish it in 10 years LOL Also Frank McCourt's "Angela's Ashes", "Tis' , "Teacher Man" , "The Glass Castle"by Jeanette Walls,"Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. "Half the Sky" by Nicholas Kristof and Cheryl Wu Dunn, "Machete Season" by Jean Hatzfeld, a book about the Rwandan genocide, interviews with some of the killers."Return to the Garden" by Shakti Gawain. AND NOW FOR THE MUST READ BOOK OF THE CENTURY.................."Three Cups of Tea" By Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. Probably THE book that should be read by every living soul. If you only read one book in this life time THIS is it! THEN when you are done with it, read Mortenson's book called "Stones Into Schools", which picks up where "three Cups of Tea" leaves off! And while I'm speaking of must read books, "Shake Hands With The Devil" by Romeo Dallaire should be on everyone's book shelf. Want to know what happens when a poor country is simmering in ethnic hatred? Want to know what the worlds reaction was to a genocide in that country? Want to know how grossly inadequate the UN's reaction was? Want to know what one man tried to do to stop one of the worst genocide's in history? READ this book and find out. Prepare to be sickened and disgusted by humanities reaction. Septembers book of the month was "6 Months In Sudan" by James Maskalyk. He's a doctor who volunteered for 6 months in war torn Sudan with an NGO called "Medicines sans Frontiers". It makes one realize how lucky we are to be able to live in the west; being able to eat when we want, go to the hospital when we need to and all without the threat of an armed military at large.
