About this user

Chef Toro began his career over twenty five years ago in Ohio. His passion for food led him to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a Chef. As an apprentice Chef Toro honed his craft at some of Los Angeles finest Hotels, private clubs and restaurants such as The Beverly Hills Hotel and The Jonathan club. Chef Toro continued his education spending twelve months in UCLAs professional culinary arts program, and during his schooling he held the position of Executive Chef at Le Café in Sherman Oaks,California.
In 1993 the Landmark the Sportsmans Lodge in Studio City, California underwent major restoration, Chef Toro was chosen as Executive Chef together with Master Chef Raimond Hofmeister as Consulting Chef created Caribou at the Lodge and The Muddy Moose Bar and Grill, Innovative American Regional Cuisine. Following their association at the Lodge, Chef Toro held the positions of Chef de Cuisine as well as Chef Instructor at Chef Hofmeister s Los Angeles Culinary Institute where he taught American Regional cooking. In 1997 Chef Toro made the transition from restaurants to private families. Since that time he has prepared Fine cuisine for some of Los Angeles most Elite including:
