Universe -- Listen!! This is IT! If only someone would transcribe Strauss' "Four Last Songs" for horn and Soprano duet I would LOVE to hear him play them. Pure heaven I'm sure.

OOOOOH. AAAAAH. He is certainly at or near the very TOP of the list of horn players today. he plays it as if it were a flute. The finest silk with rich cream dripping from every note and rays of sun glistening from each one!! Hyperbolic simile?? No!

I have been listening to horn music for over 50 years and have NEVER heard such evenness of tone over 4+ octaves, not to mention the fluidity and grace! Take nothing away from D.B., B.T., H. B., S.D., R.D., J.T., G.W., or A. L. but.......... !

OMG!! Struass, Gliere, Mozart, but he is human- a few glitches. OMG Again -Notes well above c'''. Here- take my horn!!! I'm going home!!

I've been a musician for over 50 years and for the first time I am unable to find words to describe what I felt like seeing this phenomenal woman. The voice, the technique, the visual impact, the energy, the colour!! I can now die happily having seen her and bought all her CDs.

This may in fact be music if music is "a series of sonic utterances as a result of human programing." If however you consider, as Bartok did, that if you can dance to it or recite poetry to it and it evokes HUMAN emotions, it is not. The verbal description of the mic technique used is more music...

What a beautiful piece- music and visuals. I spent time in Mongolia and can recall the chill of the April air when coming out of the smoky yert and seeing the lone horseman in the distance. The pace that Sanderling takes it at is just right.

Believe it or not, the all black appearance of the group "coloured" my hearing of it. Better with white shirts. IMHO only.

This is great for a community orch. The horn at the beginning sounds just like the way I played it- my teacher said "More Air More Air".

The static camera position is a waste of pixels. we should see the players as well as the conductor.
