Great visuals! Dreadful walk animation. If you're avoiding using pre-made animations, I recommend getting a video of someone walking/running, extracting like every 0.5 secs as separate frames and then model the keyframes in your animation to these positions! Quick way to get a realistic animation.

If you're modelling your characters in 3ds max, use biped and search for some nice animations online- there are plenty out there.

Very nice. Surprisingly few views! The grass texture looks a bit too tiled in places but great in general. Can I ask if that's just regular normal mapping for the grass or some kind of custom grass shader? It looks good!
