Bill Clinton came to our small town of Lewistown, Pa. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 to campain for his wife, Hillary. He was met by at least 1500 residents of this small town. We stood in line from 4:00 PM until the doors opened at 5:15. The line stretched out the sidewalk and around the athletic field. When everyone was inside there was barely standing room left. He arrived an hour late, but nobody seemed to mind. Former President Clinton spoke for 45 minutes, and gave many reasons why he thought his wife was the best person to lead this nation.. The former president ended his speech by saying the country needs a president that doesn't forget the job is about being a public servant, something he said Hillary is well equipped to do. As Clinton walked off the stage, U.S. Secret Service agents swarmed around him as he worked the rope line, shaking hands and thanking people for coming to the event.
