Charleston Swing Dance Association

We are dedicated to developing swing music and dancing in Charleston, the historic city on the coast of South Carolina.

We promote and celebrate the music and vitality that comes alive through the Charleston Dance, Lindy Hop, Balboa, Blues Dancing, East Coast Swing, and a variety of group dances such as the Shim Sham and Big Apple.

Music lovers and dancers are invited to join CHARLESTON SWING!

To become a member is a great thing! Only $20 a year!

So what? You say...Here are some reasons to join:

Free or reduced admission to CSDA-sponsored dances, workshops & other events.

Weekly Swing Dance lessons

Connection to other members through CSDA meetings, CSDA emails, and the Members Only CSDA Yahoo discussion group

Eligibility to perform and teach swing dancing at CSDA-sponsored events in the Charleston community

Collaboration with other CSDA members for road trips to national swing events

Use of the CSDA library including swing music, books, and videos

Eligibility for CSDA scholarships

Annual Membership Fees (good for one year):
- $20 New Members
- $10 Renewal for existing members
You can save over $50 a year by getting a membership rather than paying for each dance. What a deal!

Best benefit of all: You will have loads of fun with a fun bunch of folks! Plus there is no age limit, this is not just a college group.

Another great benefit is: you don't need a partner, there is always someone to dance with!

Also, note that there isn't food or drinks for sale (at present), but there is a water fountain. People may bring their own water bottles or non alcholic beverages.
Note: Parking is available on side streets. There is a garage down by the Waterfront Park.
