My name is Charles and I used to live/go to school in Brooklyn NY. Sharing mutual friends with Peter, I was able to pin down an interview with him. Peter was kind enough to allow me to shoot for about 4 hours (8 total for 2 cams) over two sessions. I then did my best to make a concise piece on his life. Originally, I was hoping to do a full 2 hour docu, showing his musical work /career, ( i might still do it ) but Peter convinced me to focus on the basics... not to mention I barely found time to finish what is there now due to school. Anyway, I had been sitting on the interview footage for a while and in Feb I decided to finally get it done after he contacted me about some attacks going on about his family/background online.
Anyway, I was happy with what it turned out to be and I hope peter is as well. I have a great deal of respect for him and after all the attacks he gets, I felt he needed to be more thoroughly explored. I want to thank peter for opening up and I apologize that it took so long to get it up. Also- please know that I'm not a rep for anything. I still respect the movement a lot for trying. My last name is also not really Robinson. I do not want to have a personal association... for obvious reasons. My life is irritating enough just trying to survive!
