I had a 77 w/a and it was more of a poor-man's Lincoln Mk V. Great body-style, long hood, short deck and a 351 that gave it decent acceleration. I never knew they made a wagon, how sad for Cougar. This body style ran for just 3 yrs.

Bought a new one for my parents....now I have it. It is the best vac made (they always have been). Basically, you get what you pay for. Yes, they are cheap as used vacs from those that hate the wt/sz, they rid of them.

These old vacs used to scare the shit outta me as a kid! That includes Kirby's that some of my relatives owned.....I overcame my fear of vacs and now collect Hoover Convertibles...sweet vacuums that out-perform new ones! This is nice as there's more chrome on this than my car!

Dodge was to Plymouth as Mercury was to Ford....a class difference. Yet both had that left-over Virgnal Exner styling....yrs ahead of GM!

The term Chrysler Imperials have ALWAYS been an issue, name-wise. But they were fierce competitiors for Cad & Lincoln...in spite of name recoginiton, a Chrysler was a near-cad/linc anyway. Just had better motors, handling and styling w/o all the fan-fare and glitz.

I read back 1 yr of comments and you guys need to view these Charger ads. Most were corny and that "humor" accentuated the CAR. (Also made you talk about it w/friends). The longest running dumb Mopar muscle ad was the sheriff that stopped guys driving Chargers & Challengers.
