@sesabio Right. I still listen to some things here and there, but the place where modern hip-hop is shining right now is in the radio mix-shows, or at least on 97.9 the Box out of Houston. Everytime I check out one of their new mixes, at least 75% of the songs are of the same quality as the stuff...

This is one of my FAVORITE songs by DJ Quik. When he cuts up "True" in the chorus, it puts it over the top.

This is what separates producers from beatmakers. For those that didn't know, this song uses the drum track from Dr. Dre's "XXXplosive", yet this song sounds totally different from Dre's song.
