@ToolsnFire Finally checked The Drums out. Did indeed enjoy them. Tried hard to make the connection you saw back toh 52's, saw it a bit in the drumming \ beats but that was about it. Reminded me more of the Smiths and Morrissey, which is hardly a slag.

Kicks sand in the Bangles' faces and I actually have a real soft spot for the Bangles overall (not to mention something hard for Hoffs). This is is far superior, and I'm not just saying that becasue its the original.

I think they are probably the most musically gifted band of all time. And that's saying something when there were bands like The Beatles, The Who, The Band, Cream, et al out there.

But I seriously don't think there's ever been a more top to bottom gifted collection virtuoso's on their instrument...

Just a damn good song and beautiful vocals. Then when you consider they are all in their 60's with Debs 66 -> truly astounding! I have so much respect for this band and Debbie in particular.

Like that you included a lgihter weight division guy in Duran. He was defintely a bonecrusher in his prime at lightweight. If it goes the distance -> I think Pac wins. Many experts have suggested that it will be Pac in a decsion because he's the much busier fighter, will be one coming forward, and it just seems unlikely that either will be able to knock the other out. To me, this seems like the most likely outcome too.

My only real issues with this list are 1) Hearns' inclusion at Ray Leonard's exclusion (that's just non sensical) and 2) some of the ordering within the list.

Other than that its actually tough to argue with the picks.

The most glaring ommision is Roberto Duran. An obvious top 10. Most glaring inclusion is Tyson. He would have been killed by every other HW on this list, several from out his era who who didn't make it the list, and was by several from his own era who would get no consideration.

Great Vid! Stellar bought. I agree with posters who say that PAC got these gusy on the way down, and even in at that Morales did win #1 going away. If PAC faces either at this time in their careers, I think he loses.

Seemingly out of no where, in stark contrast to virtually everything else being put out by everyone at the time (and since), emreges a full and clear harvest moon from the primordial evening fog of the late 80's music scene. To show the way to Rock's last true renaissance. Hail to the Pixies!

indeed. Perhaps the best "come back" album of all time. Not a mediocre, let alone poor, track on the whole thing. Just smokin' tune after tune.

God needed to beef up the choir in heaven so he took Freddy early. The best voice ever in rock. Unlikely to ever be equaled.

Absolutely mesmrizing perfromance by all involved. Sinead is perfect. The Band provides a completely unexpected and perfect contrast as backups. We need a love button!

@bluejay55118 KIm's baselines certainly anchor all the Pixies tunes. But I actually think its Joey's "sonic overlay" guitar style that most singly defines the Pixies musical style. Its been said by many a musician since that "threre are no great chords left, Pixies took them all." Could be rephra...

@Senatorcraigz LOL. Too true. The dictionary definintion of "groovey". Pretty interesting that the Heads are primarily thought of as a "New Wave" band when their roots are actually funk. The rythym section is usually the base for their tunes.

@cbb022585 The only thing the loss (which was not a KO BTW) to Morales did was increase PAC's desire to win and show him he needed to develop his RH more. Pac did, came back, and destoyed Morales 2X.

When comparing them, both are top 5 LW's all time. I give Morales some slack on the last 2 Pac ...

@pimphofoo Ummm -> last I checked those bands you mentioned long since broke up and \ or stopped touring. I guess I could have said "best live band on the planet, still actually playing live". Just thought the "at this time" aspect of the comment was obvious.
