My name is Erwin. My wife actually started this channel for me, but I took over soon after we started posting my videos on YouTube.
This is truly a remarkable adventure for me. I am not a professional singer, but I have legally made 2 CDs, just for fun - VERY EXPENSIVE way to have fun, but still fun. I recorded at a professional studio. And, since I don't have any original material, I contacted all of the necessary businesses. I paid for all of the mechanical licenses. I signed official documents. I paid CD manufacturers to have the CDs made ... WHEW. I'm just getting tired writing about it! After spending a few thousand dollars, I finally had a small compilation of music that I simply, and happily, gave to my family and friends.
Needless to say, I couldn't continue to spend thousands of dollars, no matter how generous I claimed to be. I couldn't afford to do that. I needed to find another way to share what I could do.
So many whispers filled my ear with YouTube. I had always dismissed the idea because my wife, my children, my work, our home .... life needed my love, care, and attention, more than I needed to share my gifts with the world.
Then, my selfless wife gave me her blessings. She started this YouTube account for me, and, without my knowledge, she posted my cover for "Beauty School Dropout", her favorite song that I had playfully video-taped in January 2010. She found my clip on the computer and decided to post it. At first, I was furious because I hadn't decided, at that time, whether I wanted to enter this YouTube world, or not.
Eight months later, with over 110,000 views and 160 subscribers, I'm lovin' every minute! Many of you might have already guessed that, not only do I sing, but I have a lot to say, as well. I love to write and every song choice that I post has significance in my life. I gladly share because those whispers that encouraged me to take my first step forward are now crystal clear voices that lead me to people who appreciate what I can do. Somehow, I'm finding that many people are reaching out to me with their own stories. Somehow, people are willingly sharing very personal experiences with me. I am honored by all of these gestures. I truly am. Thank you for visiting. Thank you for taking time for me. Please visit often. I have so much to share.
Lastly, I also urge you to read my descriptions under each video. I tell a story for each song - some fun, some sad, some nostalgic, some tragic ... all across the board. My point is that each video represents a part of my life, bits of my personal journey. In a way, I'm doing this for my children, so that one day, when they're much older, they'll go to YouTube, and discover me all over again.
BTW, if any one of you personally know David Foster, can you ask him if he's willing to compose, and write, a song for me? I don't want the composition in order to make money, though that might be nice. I want the music because I know I can sing and I can deliver a remarkable story. Oh, also tell Mr. Foster that I'd knock it out of the park!
