As the effect is not applied to main vocal or drums, consider it is used simply as an effect - nothing 'gone terribly wrong'. Flanging/Phasing type result without the cadence or tonal change associated with those two effects. Sorry it disturbs you but the producers can't please every...

@andrewsms I'm not sure I follow your question. Do you mean seeing the back of the car itself in the mirrors, or do you mean without the benefit of the lights mounted in the back of the car; or something else? Can you clarify for me?
