About Me:
The Ceez - Peter Cezar Okrasa was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland.
As a teenager he joined a band to sing and follow his fascination with singers like Janis Joplin, James Brown, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Robert Plant and others.
With his bands, they have played many shows inside and outside Poland, played live on National Radio Stations and they were often awarded at festivals.
The most remembered award for him personally, was at the "Rock w Rok" Festival in Warsaw, when besides First Price from the jury and Polish Singing Guru - Czeslaw Niemen, Niemen called Ceez the best male singer of the generation.
Two times, with two different bands as the distinction Ceez was invited to Denmark's Music School and recording studios for experience exchange with students, music workshops and touring.
Ceez was also a part of the band "Dom Muzyki" where as a singer with many music celebrities, on the biggest stages in the country were fundraising money to build places for handicap musicians where they could be able to explore their talents.
For many years, Ceez was a part of the recording workshops crew initiated by "Estrada i Studio" Pro Audio Magazine for new Sound engineers, where by teaching others he really learned his studio chops and polished as a music producer.
In 2002 Ceez decided to move to USA where most of his favorite music came from.
In Chicago he joined the Choir Group "Pasoa". With this group he made a few occasionally shows which the biggest was as a support for Three Tenors Concert in Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Soon after, he was recording first solo album "At The End" in Key West, Florida. Couple of songs "Just Another Day" and "Below Blue Sky" from that album reached first positions on Independent Internet Charts in US and other countries.
During that time in Florida, he was playing acoustic shows in local clubs with his original material mixed with covers.
In Los Angeles, Ceez with a friend and Bassist Willoughby Spitt started music production company, composing and producing exclusive music for movies and songs for new artists. They also created music/comedic Tv Show "Band Doctors" based on their experience from LA music scene.
In 2008 Ceez with progressive-rock band "The Maension" finished their first EP album "Introspection" and received Award for The Best Rock Band in Hollywood at LAMA - Los Angeles Music Awards.
Ceez was also invited to Poland to co-write songs for Debut album of the band "Chemia" called "Dobra Chemia". Album was released in 2010 and made the band nationally known.
After a year of playing shows with The Maension in Southern California Ceez started focusing on his new solo material. New music ideas that were growing in his mind, were ready to be materialized.
With much softer sound, partly acoustic and including Soul, Funk, R&B and Jazz elements The Ceez released EP album "Journey Indeed".
With all his previous musical experience, Ceez set the priority in the making of his new music. He wanted to keep the balance between originality/uniqueness and simplicity/clarity. He also smoothly mixed together the newest sounds, interesting and surprising with old ones, loved and respected.
