There are those who at least try to address the issue of science pointing to an old earth by donning the cap of "intelligent design". If that is not interpreting scripture to suit one's changin...

In all my years of driving, I have never been in a car accident. Threefore it is totally unrealistic to believe that car accidents occur.

Perhaps if Turek had squared off against Dawkins, he may have received answers in a form that he felt at least addressed the meat of the question, but that would not have made him any happier - more likely, we would have seen a more humiliated Turek than the smug one we saw at the end of this deb...
