His high notes NEVER excite me, they lack the full squillo of

a MDM, Corelli, LV. His high notes sound better on recordings.

He was a much better singer than Corelli and MDM in the middle

register.

Pavarotti in 1977. Pavarotti's voice was much

more healthy in 'the 70's. This is Pavarotti when his voice

had declined and he was older.

MDM had a more beautiful voice than Corelli and Tucker

had a more beautiful voice than MDM. MDM had a limiting

technique which made changing dynamics difficult, but his

technique worked for him perfectly and his voice did not de-

teriorate at all. Tucker developed a wide vibrato(wobble) later

The high note at the end by MDM was a bit disconnected

from his huge voice. Still very nice.

As much as I like corelli, I think this recording makes his

voice sound bigger than it was in reality.

What can a person say about the voice besides

WOW!! Caruso will always be my no1, but Tucker

at his best is extremely good.

The B natural is just so beautiful, only bjorling perhaps

had that beautiful hig note in this aria, but much less strong.

That is interesting. For me a good honing guide

gives the feeling like you are freehand sharpening.

The sound on the high B is slightly enhanced. So pathetic

attempt by Domingo nuthugger. His high B was nice as it

was.

You could solve this by rubbing the 3000 with the 5000

for a few seconds and the 5000 with the 10000 for a few seconds.

What I am wondering though is why you hold the diamond stone

horizontally, not covering the whole stone, whilst flattening.

Mr Ken, could you compare this stone and the 8000 ume to the

8000 superstone in terms of feel, finish, finess. I am using the

8000 SS for plane blade finishing. The stone polishes very well,

mirror finish, but is quite soft and the swarf gets a bit stuck in

the stone. This nubatama looks nicer. ...

Looks like a solid product sir. What you should have done

is use a feeler gauge instead of a piece of paper.

Not that it makes any real difference, but I thought the Diaflat

was 120 grit, not 120 micron as you say sir.

How much longer will this plate last compared to the older DMT

plates?

I am thinking of buying a very aggressive 1000 grit stone that remains

flat for a long time. I was advise to try bester 1200, but I would like your

opinion.

The stone you used in this video looks like it would benefit from a

1-3...

maxim that 1000 stone looks very attractive, but a bit slow to me.

The bester 1000(1200?) you used in a different video was much quicker.

Do you agree?

Looking now at this video, your jns 1000 stone seems to be different

from nubatama 1000 grit. Yours sounds harder and finer.

The whole sole should be in contact with the

abrasive all the time. When you were flattening the sole

sometimes the back or front was not in contact with the

abrasive.
