Kevin Kirchner started Centerpoint Communications in 2009 after spending the last 28 years as (among other things) Managing Partner at MacWilliams Kirchner Sanders & Partners, Vice President for Policy and Communications at Earthjustice, and Forestry Counsel for the US House Interior Committee. He is a seasoned policy and media strategist with an extensive background in environmental, corporate accountability, issue advocacy, and ballot initiative campaigns. Over the years, he has developed, coordinated, and/or implemented hundreds of earned and paid media campaigns on issues like the Arctic Refuge, old growth forests, endangered species, global warming, coal plants, renewable energy, the Patriot Act, racial profiling, organic farming, and holding the oil industry accountable for MTBE cleanup.
He has also worked on successful ballot initiatives around the country that range from keeping billboards off public highways in Alaska, to defeating a proposed cap on government expenditures in Montana, to increasing the tobacco sales tax in Arizona and dedicating it to childrens health care and learning programs.
