I am fair and love black mascara and eyeliner BUT if I ever go lighter I prefer a nice chocolatey brown over charcoal. I think gray is SO boring especially since I have blue eyes, adding gray just makes for a bunch of boring dead cold color that begs for a rich color like brown.

@naleadentrinhinaa pure acetone used to dissolve artificial nails would work great, also you could go back and forth dissolving with the acetone and grinding away with a coarse nail file.

@msinsanity if you have a oily eyelids you might like Eden primer potion by Urban Decay. I admit it's NOT cheap, but it dries my eyelids out too much so I have to make sure I wear plenty of moisturizer on first. I love the color because I hate the color of my eyelids and it's completely opaque.
