It was some time ago that I began my first guided meditation. Absolutely grand, it was. Like usual, I did a "detox" cleansing (as I call it), immersing my body in a misty white light that radiated up through my legs to my crown, purifying all areas of tension and washing them away. My breathing became slower and rhythmic with each breath, and when I was fully immersed, I began my spiritual journey. I concentrated on the Goddess, in all Her beauty, and I found myself in space, looking upon the bright face of the Moon. I internally thought of Cerridwen, the Welsh Crone Goddess of Lunar mysteries.
That's when I was filled with Her love and trust. It flowed through me like a tranquil river, and I found myself weeping in joy. "This is where I belong", I thought. I didn't want to leave, and when I finally did, I was still crying.
After that meditation, I never feared the night as I used to, for I know that She gazes upon us, glowing in Her brilliant radiance of un-ending Wisdom.
I never before realized the true Power of meditation, and everyone should try it and practice it regularly. The world would certainly be a better place if everyone did.
For anyone interested in such meditations, I highly recommend 'By Oak, Ash, and Thorn', a marvelous book by DJ Conway. It is filled with meditation practices such as the one I experienced, coming at the perspective of Celtic Shamanism. Another great book is 'How to Heal with Color' by Ted Andrews, which gets into the basics of meditation and other practices for beginners. You can buy them online, or from a local bookstore. Both reads will be treasures to keep for life, and there is always far more to a book than words and pages.
And, for all students of the Craft, Occultists, and people seeking to better themselves with the Craft, I can provide a fountain of information, even though I am in my 366 days of spiritual practice to become a Druid; for years I have studied the Occult in-depth starting in middle-school. I grew up christian (Catholic, to be exact), and it never really suited me. I never really felt that it encouraged spiritual growth - in fact, quite the opposite for me. This is not to say that Christianity is completely bad. I have to say though, early christianity was HORRIBLE, being a religion of terrorizing other religions; Muslim, Pagan, and Judaism. This is also not to say that all Christians are bad - but too many are interested in only one thing. They are obsessed with "the truth", and are so far from self-actualization that they have to go door-to-door trying to convert people in the name of "God", or else "satan will fry your @$$ in hell". They are utterly hopeless, and are so far from the Divine that it is sickening. They wouldn't know the truth if it stared at them in the face, and they are not worth arguing with. Believe me, I know - too much experience with these trolls who live to do this (probably pastors who have nothing else to do). And they are not welcome here, nor near my friends, nor anyone of their victims. I will rightfully defend them in the name of religious rights, regardless of their religion. Conflict must stop, and relentless targeting of different people is not too be tolerated.
But for those who seek help, aid, and knowledge, I will give my utmost in return. People often come to this, my grove seeking these things, and I welcome you all for spending some time in my forest. Listen to the echoes of peace within, and be swept away from the hassles and problems of routine life.
Blessed be to all! )O( )O( )O( /l\

About Me:

I am in love with the Pan-Flute, my girl-friend who I have been in a relationship with since 4th grade, and I am almost a Celtic Druid (366 days in progress). I love everything Celtic, including the music (bagpipes and penny-whistle), and the culture I am a part of. I am a big challenger to christians who discriminate against us and other related religions. I also like Native Americans, as I am part Cherokee and Wampanoag. Their culture and the Celtic culture (as a whole) are so similar - anthropologists are even considering the possibility of the first people coming to North America from Europe when the Atlantic froze.

In regards to Druidry, my Path, I've heard a lot of bogus stories about us and the Druids of old. One of the most debatable issues concerns whether or not the Druids practiced human sacrifice. Caesar describes the Gallic Druids performing such rites in his book 'The Gallic Wars'. However, many historians are now considering this to be false. For one, Rome practiced human sacrifice, and Caesar, being a politician, was probably using this statement as a way to keep his campaign in Gaul going - as well as Albion later on. Also, the Romans were trying to obliterate Gaul from the map under Caesar - it is doubtful that he would tell the truth about his enemies. One word - PROPAGANDA. Has there been archaeological evidence to prove Caesar's claim? No. There is no hard evidence whatsoever. One thing remains true. The Druids of today certainly don't practice human sacrifice. Another common misconception is that Druids are old men in beards who wear white robes. The Druids of old could be either men or women. The Celts certainly had a high respect for women, as seen in the Brehon Laws of Ireland and early Scotland, as well as the laws of Hywel Dda in Wales and Cornwall, both of which originated from Druidic teaching. As for the white robes, the Druids then and now don't and didn't just wear white. Colors were seen as a sign of rank and class. But again, we don't know for sure if they wore white exclusively. However, today, Druids wear green as well as white. An example are the Stonehenge Druids. Some wear white, some wear green, and some wear other colors as well. modern Druidry is still an undefined Path. There are no two Orders or Groves which have the same set of beliefs and values. One this is certain - we are all a family in the Pagan community, and I am happy to be a part of this family :D

celticbattleaxe My friends, one week after tomorrow I will be closing my account, if youtube continues their plan to enforce the new channel design down our throats. Seeing as how they aren't even considering what we have to say about the design, this changeover will most likely happen. It has been a real pleasure knowing you all, and I am honoured to be among such excellent people :).

PaganGlade (1 week ago)
Yeah I'm with you on that I won't be using Facebook either I'm not even registered there. I didn't know the other place was so bad with the slow loading and such, I had a quick look round about a month ago and it seemed ok then but I'm a real dunce when it comes to this kind of stuff so my opinion can't really be valued :D I'm gonna miss my mystical trees :( lol :D
PaganGlade (1 week ago)
Will you be going to any other hosting site? I think many Pagans have moved over to Zippcast, apparently it's pretty much like old YouTube used to be with the ability to friend add and all that. I agree with you completely on the changes, they are absolute pants, I am not sure I will be sticking around either :(

You started this stupid argument of yours, and I am tired of time and time again giving you solid evidence of women warriors in the Celtic socieities, but clearly you can't stand the idea. TOO BAD.
All you do is twist my statements and never give your support.
Trying to go up a slippery slope does not work.
I don't know of ANY Celtic historian who doubts that the Celts had women warriors. Are you really afraid that if you went back in time, a certain warrior would kick your ass?
You can continue to live i your fanstasy male-dominated world, but that is not reality.
Now scram.
And if you will contue to message me, I may report you.

I'd love to see you in a Celtic tribe - you'd be in trouble for insulting women so fast, and you'd be the one to get slapped. You're just POed that women actually HAVE rights, and it makes you even more POed that guys like me support them.

Yeah,...right. Fantasies? The only fantasies come from you, a-hole, who believe that the world caters to men and men only. You would love it if the whole world was male-chauvinistic. Guess what? The Celts NEVER were. You'd better believe that they had women warriors. Where is the evidence that suggests that they did not? You have none - why? BECAUSE THERE IS NONE.
Clearly, you haven't heard of the Brehon Laws and the Laws of Hywel Dda - both originate from Druidic teaching. Go back and read real history before you attempt to slander people like me.
Some of the most important and widespread Deities were Goddesses - many were warrior Goddesses:
Danu (known is Wales as Don), the Morrigan, Badb Catha, Brigit, etc. Need I say more?
Get lost, and please - never never NEVER come back here again until you've learned sense and manners.

Yeah the Senate Army :) Once I opened Rome's doors with spies as well, left their army standing in the cold. But when I played Gaul I had the luck that the Senate army engaged me at that river, suiciding itself at the bridge. I currently still have a game as Armenia, which turns out to be pretty easy. Never played Tachyon and Freespace, perhaps I should someday. Have played Morrowind, Civilization 1 to 4, C&C, Red Alert, Starcraft, and still play Starcraft 2 and Age of Empires 2 (conquerors exp) a lot.
