I've been playing cello since I was six. When I turned twelve I acquired a tape with Steve Vai's "Passion and Warfare" album. Needless to say I was blown away and from that moment wanted to play the electric guitar. But sticking with cello was the luckiest thing for me, because that's what got me to the USA from the Republic of Georgia.
Here I got a Bachelors and a Masters degree in music performance. Although I was surrounded with classical musicians for over twenty years, my heart had always been in Rock'n'Roll.
About ten years ago I started to figure out Vai and Satriani as well as writing my own tunes. Since then I played with a rock band called The Helots and currently I am playing with Jon Delise, who is a very talented singer/songwriter: www.myspace.com/jondelise

You must be very talented on cello to squeeze so many of the odd sound effects out of it as Vai and Satch do. Your originals are great too. This is pioneering stuff. :)

Well if Apocalyptica ever needs a fill in I think you got the part. If you have never heard of them I suggest you look um up they are insane... Metallica played on 4 cellos ...beautiful
