	DiosanXaquerry (20 hours ago) To SamsonElitsa. Which god are your referring you, clearly the tenant of the religions are contradictory and not mutually compatible, so you much choose one. Eternal damnation is a western christian concept. So this must be what you are referring to. Now.... let me point out that "PHILOSOPHICALLY" it is not possible to fake belief to an all knowing god and if one attempts to force them self to believe in god when the evidence is against this and they are away of this then they will not be truly believing and will be eligible for eternal damnation none the less. So to conclude... "believing" in god because of a larger consequence in the case of being wrong is a fruitless endeavor. Futher more... you are not clever. I would recommend you shut up so that people are none the wiser to that fact.

	sunfirescout (1 day ago) Well shoot, upon rereading sampson's message again, I guess he/she is on the christian side of things, guess I wasted my breath, sorry for taking up your comment space. As I'm writing this, I am chuckling at the thought of Christians arguing astronomy above though...Whenever I get mormons or jahovah's witnesses trying to convert me I ask them, "My house sits on a concrete foundation, what does yours rest on?" They never get it....Sorry again for talking up so much space...

And unfortunately one who believes in god can follow a completely different path in life and still end up right next to you in the end at the same destination. And some would say that there must be others that take an alternate path to justify and define your own. One's and zero's, light and darkness, presence and absence, to be or not to be...do not loath your opposite, but understand that it is part of what defines you... Do not try to be better than the ones who believe in god , that is impossible, only try to understand that it is the two of you who define one, try only to balance their weight... Though balance their effect on time will be lost...
	sunfirescout (1 day ago) I appologize, for being verbose, but I feel I must add a few thoughts though. It is not the belief in god that is wrong. I know many people that 'believe', that I consider more knowledgeable than myself. It is the belief that another entity, God, or anything else is behind or influences your choices. There is nothing wrong with believing whatever, as long as you don't allow this belief to make your choices for you... Choice is an extremely human thing. We should celebrate it, but above all else respect it.
	sunfirescout (1 day ago) Spent several years of my life thinking philosophy, was the water that would quench my thirst. But in the end, I found I am a progressive person. Always looking for new answers to the new structure to my objective knowledge. Philosophy is wonderful for adding depth to perception, but it is not very progressive. In other words, it will not but you on the doorstep of higher thought. Albeit, sometimes the theoretical science folks need a philosophical kick in the ass to propel them to their next theory...
	sunfirescout (1 day ago) I must disagree. I am of greek descent and I can tell you the translation of Philosophy in greek is, the love of knowledge. Even Socrates would disagree if I might take that liberty. Love is a physical manifestaion of emotion. At best, it is just a word. And to quote hollywood, "what matters is the connection it implies." I don't love knowledge, I live it. I do not have a relationship with it. It is me. No grad student could make a graph with myself on one axis and knowledge on the the other with some streaking lines showing the relationship...Philosophy started with Aristotle, and unfortunately Plato, (the nice guy who finished last) allowed it to happen. Although I down play it, it is necessary. Only through philosophy can the intelligent find beauty in the obvious.

If you don't believe in God and your wrong you will live an eternal life of a fool! You don't have to be a genius or philosopher to see what is the smarter option!
