Well, here it is, my entry for the Paradox Challenge for So You Think You Can Vid. Never in a million years did I think I'd be vidding for this challenge. Top 6... Holy cow.
The basic idea was to change the genre of a fandom without making it a complete AU story. So I took Pride and Prejudice (a romance) and twisted some things around to make it look a bit more like thriller. This is probably one of the hardest things I've had to do (vidding wise) in a very long time. A lot of hemming and hawing. A lot of deleting. And a lot of hair pulling. But in the end, I think it turned out alright. Good enough to make it through? Well... I have no idea about that. I'm up against some pretty amazing talent.
Big thanks to Connie, Alex, and Ari for their helpful suggestions and encouraging words.
Quotes
"So you are Elizabeth Bennet." "I am your ladyship."
"That is Mr. Darcy." "He looks miserable, poor soul." "Miserable he may be, but poor he most certainly is not."
"Mr. Darcy is not to be teased. A family trait, I think."
"Prepare yourself for something very dreadful."
"I love you. Please do me the honor of excepting my hand."
"Tell her that you insist upon them marrying!" "You cannot make me!"
"Lizzie!"
"So this is your opinion of me."
"You don't know what he's like."
"Miss Elizabeth."
Made for fun, not profit.

Movie: V For Vendetta Program: Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0
OKAI! So, today, I haven't been to work because I have a cold (MEH!), which pretty sucks HARDCORE! So I decided to vid a little. I continued my parts of the SYTYCV collab, but I needed to take a short little break from it lawll! So I decided to FINALLY finish this video (that I started on early September) for a really special person!
DEDICATION: ** GABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY (gaby0189) : Oh my dear and lovely GABYDOOOOO (L) ! This video is entirely dedicated to you hunnie! I know I'm UBER LATE but this is your BIRTHDAY GIFT YAYYSS!! Haha, so here's the story: I started like 3 videos for you, because you know... I'm a crazy vidder who absolutely always FEEL the NEED to start tons and tons of vids HAHA!! And today, I told myself "Come on Sonia, you can finish this one in like, 2 hours, YOU CAN DO IT!" and I was like GAH, let's go for it and TADAM!! I finally finished it YAYAYAYY!! Since I heard you love this movie, I thought it would be mucho original if your bday video would be about it! I thought about making you a Daley video but MEH, it's too predictable haha! So here it is! I really hope you will like it!! Gaby, you really are one fantastic girl and I'm really happy we started to talk more together lately =D !! You're really awesome and one of the most amazing friend I have, here on YT! I love you MUCHOOOO LOTS AND LOTS!!! *huggleess*
About the video: So, there's not much to say about the video... haha! I first started to follow the lyrics and endded up following the story of the movie and also the instrumental... I almost cried when I was making the instrumental part, MEH!
I also know this song is UBER OVERUSED right now -__- GAH!! I first heard this version of the song on RaggDollish's video about Skins (which is so phenomenal, you should definitely check it out if you never saw it, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfnlB1... ) and I knew I was going to vid it someday. And I started the video early September and then there has been a HUGE BOOM of videos with this song :S ! I thought if never finishing it but I finally made up my mind and give it a push to get it done LAWLL =D !!
So I really hope you will enjoy it :) !! Even if I don't always reply to my comments, you need to know that I adore reading them and hear your feedbacks (L) :) !
ENJOYYY :) !

When I heard Disney was finally making a new traditionally animated feature film, I was excited. When the general populace heard Disney was finally making a new traditionally animated feature film, they flipped out. Over the years I've heard criticism, complains, accusations made about Disney. Some of them are well-founded. Some, I feel, are not.
I made this video because I just wanted to remind people: yes, the Disney company has flaws, but they've provided generations of children with classic films with beautiful animation, engaging stories, and memorable characters. I enjoyed these movies when I was four, and I'll still love them at ninety-four. Not many films, and film companies have that kind of talent.
So this is my little three-minute to tribute to them. It was a bit hard to cram 50-odd years of footage into a three-minute video, so it goes by pretty fast. Some movies I couldn't get digital copies of, and some got cut purely because of time and artistic constraints. I tried to keep the films in semi-chronological order, but it does skip. The audio's a little patchy too. So I apologize for all that.
And the obligatory: everything is owned by Disney. I own nothing. I take credit for nothing. This is merely a fan work. I in no way will or have plans to make any money off this video.
-Song-
So Close, by Jon McLaughlin, featured in Disney's Enchanted
-Video- (all by Disney, sarcastic comments by me)
Snow White (this movie is actually hilarious) Pinocchio Cinderella (Cinderella was actually kind of badass) 101 Dalmatians (Cruella song was stuck in my head for DAYS) The Sword in the Stone The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh The Rescuers (the clip in my video from this film made my "allergies" "act up" for like, ten minutes) Aladdin (Aladdin was a total babe) Bambi (my dad made me eat deer once) Beauty and the Beast (greatest movie ever made) Alice in Wonderland Dumbo (Disney animators were on some good drugs make when this was made) Hunchback of Notre Dame (Hellfire. That is all) Fantasia Lilo and Stitch (this film also made my "allergies" "act up") Mulan (you go girl) Peter Pan (I can see why Native Americans wouldn't like this movie...daaamn) Hercules Tarzan The Jungle Book The Fox and the Hound The Lion King (awesome movie) Little Mermaid (don't blame you at all Ariel, I wanted to do naughty things to that Eric) Through the Looking Glass (man this one is OLD, and I can't remember where I found it) Pocahontas (this movie was actually really good, and very beautiful...just ignore all the stupid controversy)
Random aside: you know how when people mention over-the-top weddings, usually the phrase "Disney fairytale wedding" pops up? But there's actually...not that many weddings in Disney canon. The only ones I could find were: Robin Hood (very end), The Little Mermaid (very end), Cinderella (very end). That's it. All the wedding scenes last like, a minute, except maybe The Little Mermaid, and even then the focus isn't on the wedding, it's on Ariel and her dad. People are stupid.
