Claudio Brio started in the electronic music as a producer and midi programmer in a techno-pop band in the end of the 80's, by the time that he was graduating in mechanical engineering school. After working 9 years as an engineer, in the end of the 90's he started to play as a dj. Since than, he has performed on the circuit of clubs, parties and festivals around Brazil and yearly in most of the bigger Brazilian open air events events such as XXXperience, Tribe, Solaris Dance Festival, Universo Paralello Festival, Trancendance Festival and Cachoeira Alta Festival to name a few.
In the circuit of Clubs, Brio started to play in the legendary Clubs of the end of 90..s in São Paulo, as U-Turn & Manga Rosa, and have performed around the country in the last years in Clubs such as Fiction (GO), Kraft (Campinas), Club E (BH), 180 Graus (Ubatuba-SP), Fishbone (Bizios-RJ), Delux.E (Campinas-SP), Club Diesel (Campinas) and a 8 months residency at D-Edge (SP) during the weekly night Up Grade powered by Tropical Beats. Claudio Brio was also resident during 3 years of Club Tronic @ Radio Energia 97FM, playing weekly for more than one million listeners.
Claudio Brio started to play internationally as a dj in 2005 @ Culture Box Club (Copenhagen) and in the "ever Greeen Party a la Brasil" in Christiania (DK). Brio returned to Europe in 2007 to play in the Hangar Club (Berlin) and again in a Christiania after party.
Born in Rio de Janeiro and living in Sao Paulo where he directs Tropical Beats and Sonic Alliance. Booking Agency, Record label and Distribution Companies that he has in partnership with James Monro (UK), Jokke Ilsoe (DK), Marian Flow (BR), Zeo (BR), Nico Defrost (DK) and Bo Hoj Jensen (DK), Brio also spend his time in the studio, producing for "Corejoy" and for his other projects as "Alpha Drive" and "Trautonium".
Corejoy is the main, live act and solo (minimal/electro/tribal). Alpha Drive is where he puts his deep house and tribal house tunes, and Trautonium is a project that Brio has in partnership with dj Feio (Wired Music), dedicated to faster bpms.
As a dj, Brio also can use Ableton Live and his midi controllers to reach a higher level of presentation or in the traditional way with Vynils and/or CDJs. No mater what format, Claudio Brio flows as a dj, between minimal, tech-house and tribal, presenting some of the newest tunes from the artists globally associated to Tropical Beats.
