Sorry, ripped hands is not a source of pride. After the first couple times it loses its "cool" and you realize you are just impairing yourself for upcoming workouts. "This is what we do"....when we don't bother to care for our hands to prevent injury.

@lwst82 None of them is "better" than any other. If you are looking for more isolated muscle group work similar to a deadhang, the regular kip is probably better. This is why I do most often. If you are in a very high rep workout where speed is the key, then butterfly kips are usually the best...
