Catweasels are a really good band. You should listen to their nice music because you will feel nice and you will want to eat a nice cake.
They come from a nice enough place in England called Chester-le-Street. Its great. they used to play gigs there, until they realised that it just wasn't enough. Since then they moved on to the Fish Tank in Durham, and other funny little venues.
Catweasels first came into being through the inter-smoking ponderings of a young man named Peter Bartram. He was an interesting chap with a vision, so he decided to form a band, which at the time consisted of getting Mark Atwill to play the drums, whilst he played the guitar.
Next Peter thought that he might need some other guitarists, otherwise The Catweasels, or Casino as they were known way back then, might not have been very spectacular. So along came Andrew Davey and Samuel Megahy; a wacky pair of misfits who loved Blink 182 and mad stuff like that...
And thus, the Catweasels were born, named after some little bits of bumfluff on Sam's face.
Catweasels have come a long way since they first began their musical journey, they have emerged greater than ever and ready to blow themselves away with more and more new songs, new sounds and a new keyboard section in the form of Metty, who used to pretend to be the roadie. so who knows whats next.
Me, i know whats next. Catweasels have been having loads of crazy unbelievable fun. Catweasels are currently being excited by a whole load of stuff and are writing many songs.
Right about now the Catweasels are trying to get some nice gigs whilst juggling a keyboard player between newcastle and leeds. It is proving a challenge, but it must be done. Lets hope we see some nice big gigs for the weasels soon, and lets hope we see you there.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more Catweasels TV Episodes coming soon with guest appearances and presenting from local special guests.
Catweasels first album is due to be released on Japanese imprint RALLYE/KLEE and will be releasing a mini album with 3 remixes for the japanese masses. Album material will also be gracing the UK so stay tuned....
