Live performances & recordings of an aspiring pop/soul/acoustic singer from Canada.
About Me:
- Funny as it sounds, first time I began to sing was after I watched "The Little Mermaid" movie. I was a little 8 year old girl singing "A Part of Your World" to adults waiting for their kids in the playground at my school. My passion to sing grew after receiving a karaoke machine as a gift for Christmas when I was 10. I wasn't able to put the mic down since then.
- I'm currently in university and practicing my singing whenever I get the chance! I'm planning to work on it full time once I graduate
- I wrote my very first R&B song called "So Stuck" at 12 years old, and it was recorded in a professional studio once I turned 15
- I have always been creative. Writing lyrics and singing original tunes is therapeutic for me
- I have singing competition experience, recording experience, and was in an artistic development program for 2 years
- I've recently performed live with local Toronto band "Coffee & Tea" at the London Music Club, and performed live for UWO's Purple Spur Fashion Show, and I have many more past performance experiences
- I'm currently in the Media, Information and Technoculture program. Most courses I take are related to popular music studies.
- I eventually want to learn how to play piano & guitar. (I only sing by ear!.. my dream is to play guitar/piano while singing at the same time)
- I've worked with multiple vocal coaches, some including Kevin Gorman, Jenn Kee, and Paul Grambo
I'M LOOKING TO COLLABORATE WITH musicians, producers, songwriter
Questions I've been asked:
What is your singing type?
- I'm a mezzo-soprano
What is your singing range?
- The lowest note I can hit is a C3 and the highest note is a B5. I am straining on the B5 though.. so I'd say I have about 2.8 octaves (I think that's correct).
Label Type:
Unsigned
Band Members:

Influences:
I'm inspired by artists who are amazing at vocal acrobatics, such as Christina Aguilera, Brian McKnight, Boys II Men, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis, JoJo etc.. but I only sound like ME :)

I got your message just now because i made a new youtube account haha. This i my new one ericethridgemusic, im gonna have a video up soon to show ya. Your voice is unreal! most people at jacks who tell me they can sing ... usually can't... but you definitely can! Im playing there every thursday this summer if youre ever around. Cheers!
Check out my page and look in my videos for Poisoned by Violet Hour. These are two friends of mine who also write and perform their own songs. This will give you a really good idea of what I'm talking about. They are a two person girl band and they harmonize GREAT together.
Sometimes the harmony is hard to find, but you have to listen hard for it in the piano or the strings. Especially if you are singing mostly R & B and used to singing by yourself and singing lead on most songs. If you CAN hear it, you've got it made.
