My professional singing carreer started very early. As a 6 years old child I already performed on stages all over the country, singing traditional Vietnamese music, and I was quite successful with that. My stage name at that time was Cảnh Sơn.

I was in a group of famous singers and comedians: Siu Black, Thanh Lam, Quang Linh, Minh Thuận, Duy Ngọc, Duy Phương, Hương Loan, Ngọc Thành, my older sister Kiều Nhi and many others.
Well-known myself there I became with the songs 'Lòng mẹ' (Ngọc Sơn) and 'Còn thương rau đắng mọc sau hè' (Bắc Sơn).

But at the age of 14 my voice started changing - like any other boy - and I had to stop singing for a while.
At 19 I realised that singing is my life and I could never do anything else better than that, so I took singing lessons again and wanted a new career in the Vietnamese music business, under a new fresh name: Nhật Sơn. Not singing traditional anymore, but Vietnamese POP-music. Starting on small stages, again travelling around the country, but climbing up to a higher level and making a full comeback as a mature singer, and so it happened. Meeting the right people at the right time.

Then I recorded my 1st album 'Tôi vẫn hát' (I still sing) and it was released in January 2007. An album with 2 famous composers Nguyễn Nhất Huy & Hoài An, who both believed in my talent.
Arranger Lý Huỳnh Long made the arrangements for the songs, and played them with his band in the Việt Hung Studio in HCMC.
From 3 of the 10 songs was made a video clip by 2 famous directors: Đoàn Minh Tuấn and Lâm Lê Dũng.

10 Days after releasing this album there was a big Live-show 'Tôi vẫn hát' in Nhà Thi Đấu Nguyễn Du, HCMC, to present myself to the audience again. Lâm Lê Dũng directed that show too. 3000 People joined it, and it was recorded on tape, to be broadcasted on t.v. all over the country.

A few months later the live DVD of that show was released. You can see it all in my Video list. The whole Live Show is there, in 12 parts. The video 'Tôi vẫn hát SPECIAL' tells you the whole story of my life, with pictures and video's of all periods in my singing carreer!

There's a 15 min. REMIX of this Live Show, to be seen on my website. YouTube allows just 10 min. clips.

In January 2008 my 2nd album 'Vết tình' was released. Again 10 new songs, this time composed by Đỗ Đình Phúc & Lý Huỳnh Long, and recorded with the same musicians and crew.

In the meantime I was in several TV-shows like 'Quà tặng trái tim', 'Gặp Gỡ Ngôi Sao', 'Saigon Teen', 'Teen Pop', 'Thế Giới Âm Nhạc', 'Trò Chuyện Với Ngôi Sao', 'Nhịp Cầu Nghệ Sĩ', and many Game Shows, for National (HTV - VTV - SCTV) and Regional Television (BTV - DNTV - THVL), and I performed on the big stages of HCMC like 'Lan Anh', 'Không Tên' and 'Trống Đồng'.
